首都テヘランの南２５０Ｋｍの地点に位置し、大砂漠と緑地帯の境に当たります。この産地の特徴としては無地のフィールドに図柄を浮き彫りにしたメダリオンタイプであり、もう一つは、つた草を絡ませた 花模様タイプが多く見られます。色彩は濃紺、えんじ色、ベージュが主流となり、落ち着いた色調の中にも、華々しさが感じられます。

Kashan is located 250km south of the capital Tehran in between the great desert and the green belt. One of the characteristics of this production area is the medallion-type, where patterns are embossed on a plain field. Another one is the flower-pattern-type, where ivy grass are used with flower patterns. Navy blue, dark blue, beige are used as the main colors. You can feel the elegance even in the calm tone.
